Thank you for considering Wild Rose Cakes as you plan your important celebration.  If it is the first time you’ve inquired with us, here is a list of frequently asked questions.

 

How do I order a cake? 

Please send us an email! It is important that you include information such as the number of portions you require and the size of the portions (full party size or small tea size).  We also request photographs of the inspiration for your celebration including pictures of the venue, table settings, invitation, flowers, colors or any image that conveys the mood of your event.  Once this information is received we will provide you with a quote. If interested in reserving your special date we require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit/  When the quote is accepted and a deposit is received, we will work on a design brief for your cake. 

For single tier cakes or cupcakes in our signature flavors and sizes, please email us with your order details and we will reply to confirm. We will then send you an invoice with payment due one week prior to delivery.

 

How far in advance should I order my cake?

Wild Rose Cakes is a small boutique studio that only takes on a small amount of orders to ensure we provide an impeccable, personable service for each customer.  This means we can book out in advance for specific times of the year. So as soon as you know about your event and the type of cake you would like, please book it in.  Although we may be able to make a cake with one weeks notice, there is a risk that as we move closer to your desired date, we will become booked out.  We would really hate to disappoint you!

 

Can I collect my cake?

No. However, delivery within Edmonton, St.Albert, and Sherwood Park is currently free! Delivery is available on Thursdays through Sundays. Wild Rose Cakes doesn't yet have a retail store front so pick-up is currently not available.

 

What ingredients do you use in your cakes?

Wild Rose Cakes uses only high quality all natural ingredients in everything we prepare, only real butter here! You will never find any preservatives or artificial flavoring in our products. All of our chocolate is high quality Cocoa Barry, Lindt, or Guittard. And any edible sugared flowers are organic imported from California.

Additionally, we make our own edible toppers including but not limited to macarons, caramel popcorn, praline, chocolate bark, meringues, fruit curd, sugar cookies, caramel and toffee.  

At this stage we are unable to offer 100% Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Nut Free cakes. We have a very small kitchen and all of our equipment has at some point come in to contact with these foods.  Vegan products can be arranged, as well as less severe food sensitivities can be accommodated. 

 

Do you offer tastings?  

Yes. They are available at a cost of $40.  This tasting is merely to give you an example of our most popular flavors and a range of different type of fillings. If you would like a flavor not offered in this tasting I would recommend ordering a box of 12 cupcakes or a 6" cake. If you would like to inquire about a tasting box please email info@wildrosecakes.com 

 

Can my florist or I put flowers on the cake?

No.  As the cake is edible, we are responsible for ensuring it is safe to eat and free from contamination.  This is a responsibility we take very seriously.  Additionally, we would advise against placing blooms on the cake yourself as fresh blooms must be prepared correctly in order to prevent contamination of the cake.  

 

Where do you make your Cakes?

As of October 2018, Wild Rose Cakes will be baking cakes out of Duchess Bakeshops production kitchen, and we are sooo excited about it!
